This Situation Analysis aims to provide information on the current situation of persons with disabilities in the United Republic of Tanzania (URT). With an active leadership and engagement of persons with disabilities throughout the exercise, the report discusses current laws, policies, and programmes. It then identifies critical issues and existing gaps and barriers affecting the implementation of the Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in URT and uses this evidence to derive recommendations.
