Fulfilling rights of persons with disabilities is one of the main preconditions for the development of the country across all dimensions: political, social, economic. The present study explores the factors that are conducive but also those that put in jeopardy the process of implementation of the CRPD as the path to the full realisation of rights of persons with disabilities and which contributes also to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Agenda. This Study provides a review of the endeavours of multiple stakeholders to implement the CRPD on various dimensions: equality and non-discrimination, accessibility, service delivery, disability budgeting and governance.
